Just 2 km away from Eloa Luxury Villa guests can find the two closest beaches the nice sandy xbeaches of Almyrida, with shallow waters, safe for children in waveless days.

The two beaches are separated by a small rocky pier peninsula with a small white chapel. It is very well organized and popular for water sports and windsurfing.

Just a short drive away (4 Km), at Kalives, there are two sandy beaches with shallow waters, separated by Xidas river and connected by a small bridge at the exit of the river to the sea. Both beaches of Xidas and Maistrali are

- Georgioupolis beach (17 km): Is a long sandy beach with many beach bars or restaurants located there. It is well organised beach strip providing sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms and showers. Of course you can certainly find a quiet spot in an unorganised section of the beach as it runs 3.5 kilometres long.

- Episkopi beach (25 km): Is located 500m east of the city centre and it is a beach with golden sand and crystal clear shallow water, very well organized and close to all amenities of the city. It offers numerous beach bars, restaurants and cafes that offer umbrellas with sun beds, showers and changing rooms.  Additionally on Rethymno’s beach you may find water sports facilities. Furthermore, there is a boardwalk which is ideal for afternoon walks by the sea, or simply shopping or dining.

- Marathi beach (37 km): Marathi has two wonderful beaches, divided by the pier of the harbour and they are probably two of the best beaches in Akrotiri peninsula. Both are sandy and well organized with sun beds and umbrellas. The most important advantage with the beaches in Marathi is that you'll almost never see the sea with waves, even when it blows in western Crete. Also there you can find taverns and cafes by the sea. Marathi is ideal for families with children.

- Loutraki beach (36km): Loutraki beach is a waveless beach with fine sand, between the rocky shore of the bay. Also there you will find restaurants and beach bars.
