Almyrida is located 23km east of Chania city, on the south shores of Souda Bay and close to the Cape Drapanos.

It is a very quiet resort with all basic amenities such as restaurants, cafes and mini-markets. Taverns on the beach are famous for fresh fish and delicious traditional Cretan food. Just 4 km away Kalives village is also worth visiting. This picturesque village is built on a fertile green valley, where several rivers flow and also has a small harbour. Xidas and Maistrali  beaches at Kalives are very well organized and all common tourist facilities and services are provided there and in the area, you will find restaurants, cafes, super markets, pharmacies, banks, post office, clinic,  various shops and fuel stations. In the exit of Xidas river there is a beautiful small bridge which connects the two beaches. Almyrida and Kalives are the two of the most famous seaside resort in the region of Apokoronas.

More beaches near the villa we suggest you to visit are Georgioupoli (17 km), Marathi (37 km) and Loutraki (36 km).

Furthermore, 1km to the east there is the picturesque village of Plaka, which is the largest village in the region. Plaka is famous for its traditional narrow streets and the old well-maintained houses. However, if something is unforgettable in this place is definitely the sunset.

In addition, if you are looking for privileges that only a big city can offer, then Chania town is around 30 minutes drive away and offers unique facilities and a wide variety of entertainment.
